Two women, their voices echoing over the landscape and highways of Mexico from North to South, tell how official corruption and injustice allowed violence to take control of their lives. The film is a meditation on corruption and on the notion of "impunidad," the impunity or unaccountability of those in power, whether part of the Mexican government or the country's drug cartels.
