Gabriel is a 19 year old Mexican-American valet parking attendant who works at a high-end restaurant in Los Angeles. When he finds out that his undocumented mother, Inez, needs medical care he tries to help her in any possible way. This coming-of-age story set in a complex social-political reality which deals with some of the most important and relevant elements of our time: immigration, class differences and the US health system. These crucial topics are brought to life through an intimate relationship between a son and his mother, which together and apart confront the challenges of today's world.
