An orphaned kitten abandoned on the streets of New York is given shelter by a gang of canine thieves and their penniless owner, who is struggling to pay his debts to a brutal thug. Later, the kitten meets a kindly little girl and he thinks he has finally found a new home - but ends up leading her into danger.
