Jane's a take-charge lady, in spite of having lost the use of her legs in a car accident. Joey's a lovable oddball who talks to angels. But under Jane's tough exterior, she's emotionally paralyzed. When Joey finds a letter from Jane's son inviting her to a family event, he contrives a road trip to New Orleans. Jane starts to reconnect with life, but how will she react when she learns the truth?
