A CIA agent travels to London in 1969 on a mission to recruit Stanley Kubrick to fake a moon landing - but is unable to locate the reclusive film-maker. A seedy rock band manager sees a chance to get rich by passing off his friend as Kubrick, but when the ruse is discovered, they have to actually shoot a fake moon landing.
