A Christian singer-songwriter faces a crisis of faith when the woman he loves faces a diagnosis of terminal illness in the Erwin Brothers' heart-tugging romance based on the real-life courtship of Jeremy Camp and his first wife. Jeremy (KJ Apa) falls in love with fellow student Melissa Henning (Britt Robertson) and they eventually marry after she wins a hard-fought battle with cancer. Shortly after the honeymoon, Melissa experiences excruciating pain and the couple learns that the cancer has aggressively returned and is too advanced for treatment.
