Over the years Robbe De Hert and his team have interviewed numerous prominent personalities from the film world: upcoming talents such as Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, established names such as Erik Van Looy and Jan Verheyen, but also long deceased legends like Hugo Claus, Bobbejaan Schoepen and André Delvaux. These interviews are interspersed with unique archive footage, clips from nearly 100 years of Flemish films and recordings made on film sets and premieres.Narrated by Michaël Pas, the film explores Flemish film history: the successful neighbourhood cinemas, the first Flemish films and the success stories of Jan Verheyen, Stijn Coninx and Lukas Dhont. At the same time, the film is a personal statement by De Hert about Belgian film and gives an impression of the material (more than 200 hours of film!) that he has ever made or discovered on this subject.
