Oscar winner Julianne Moore plays a resourceful mother, who will do anything to protect the ones she loves, in an edge-of-seat psychological thriller written by Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby and directed by Michael Pearce. Kate Garretson (Julianne Moore) stands by her manipulative and scheming drug addict daughter, Claire (Sydney Sweeney), despite repeated warnings from her ex-husband Richard (Kyle MacLachlan), who is tired of writing cheques to resolve his daughter's messes. One rain-swept night, Claire turns up at her mother's farm covered in someone else's blood after an argument with her no-good boyfriend (Edmund Donovan).
