Daata

The movie is about how a school-teacher's son becomes Dacoit. Dinanath is a well learned man who has also received an award from the PM of India for his book, 'Daata' which praises all religions. He has planned the wedding of his daughter to the son of Gopaldas, however it is revealed that the wedding jewelery is fake and the marriage is canceled. His daughter kills herself and Dinanath dies of heart attack. His son Kundan (Mithun Chakraborty) decides to join a band of bandits so that he can kill Gopaldas's son who is responsible for the deaths of his sister and father.
