Bock for President

2010 Documentary

For two years filmmakers Houchang and Tom-Dariusch Allahyari followed Ute Bock, who helps refugees, with their camera, while she was at work and in her private life. The result is an intimate portrait and look at the fates of the people she helps, who are also given an opportunity to speak. No government authorities feel responsible for these individuals, and they would, if it weren’t for Bock’ work, be on the street.
