Angus Stewart, a retired and recently widowed civil engineer, always dreamed of becoming an astronaut. He has moved in with his daughter Molly, much to the annoyance of her husband, Jim, who has problems of his own. Then a TV lottery to win a seat on a commercial spacecraft gives Angus a chance of making his dreams come true.
