After spending ten years in prison because of homicide, K. is discharged. He immediately is on the hunt for new victims. The small café near the prison is too noisy. The woman driver of the taxi he takes to leave the city fights back too energetically and he runs away across the fields, leaving his suitcase in the taxi, He passes a large villa. The gate is unlocked and he enters the villa easily. There he brutally takes care of three people: the lame and retarded son whom he drowns in the bathtub, the mother whom he gags so that she chokes to death, and the daughter whom he slashes with a knife until she dies. In the early morning, K. changes his clothes, hides the corpes in the luggage space of the family car, and drives away. At the first intersection, he has an accident. He returns to the little café where the guests are the same ones of the previous day: two women at the counter, a man with a newspaper at a table, and the waitress, K.'s next victims. The cops storm the café and arrest the murderer. A psycho-thriller which is based on an authentic criminal case: 24 hours out of the life of a murderer.
