Almost Brothers

The film explores the relationship between the middle classes and the slums in Rio de Janeiro during the past 50 years as shown through two people who are almost brothers: Miguel, an intellectualized middle-class political prisoner and member of Congress; and Jorge, son of a samba composer who went from petty thief to leader of the Red Command.
