A teenager struggling to cope with the imminent death of her terminally ill grandfather finds solace in working with a dolphin expert. Before long, she discovers she has the ability to communicate with the aquatic creatures, which help her come to terms with her fears and then enlist her aid in stopping an illegal fishing operation.
