Gabor [Auteuil] is a knife-thrower who persuades Adele [Paradis] that a header off the bridge mightn't be in her best interests, whereupon he engages her as his assistant and starts pinging blades at her. The quirky pair embarks on an unusual romance and neatly undermine many of the cliches of the road movie narratives.
