Originally intended to act as a sequel to David Fincher's crime-horror Se7en, Solace sees Anthony Hopkins as an investigator who can read people's futures by touch. Now retired, he's drawn back to help hunt a serial killer by FBI agents Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Abbie Cornish. The manner in which his victims die, however, has them baffled as it appears they never suffer. What's more baffling is how the serial killer seems to constantly be one step ahead of them; however Hopkins' powers tell him that the serial killer is a psychic himself.
