Arquette plays Gordon, a US postal worker who hates dogs. He's in love with his neighbour, Stef (Bibb) and is forever trying to win her affections. When she has to leave town on business, the irresponsible Gordon must look after her young son, James. Just to make matters worse, Gordon must also play host to a runaway FBI super dog being chased by the Mob. Seriously. On paper, See Spot Run appears to be Big Daddy meets Turner and Hooch, but the reality is a whole lot different. It may be aimed at kiddies, but the movie is brimming with badly judged performances, an unfunny script, and hapless direction with no real energy. Go see Spy Kids instead.
