Like its Japanese counterpart Pokemon, Digimon: The Movie is aimed at a specific demographic - those of an age who probably can't afford to buy their own tickets. The film is divided into two separate episodes in which kids - in a world where adults are conspicuous by their absence - do battle with bad Digimon and are aided by good Digimon. Smacking more of a merchandising commercial than an actual film, Digimon: The Movie is an incoherent mess that offers little in the way of entertainment for anyone over the age of 11. Those under will probably go nuts for it.
