Considering there's less than four months until the film is set to be released in cinemas, you'd think it's a little late in the day to be making casting announcements but regardless, Warner Bros. have just announced that Zoe Kravitz has joined the cast of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
According to Empire, Kravitz joined the cast after filming had already begun, hence the late announcement. Production of the film has already been completed and she hasn't appeared in any of the trailers that have been released thus far so it's fair to assume that either her character involves a crucial plot point, or she'll have a relatively minor part to play to set her character up for the already announced sequels.
Kravitz has been involved in some big franchises in the past. She appeared in X-Men: First Class as well as last year's Mad Max: Fury Road.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is out in November.
