We KNEW it! Wonderman is joining the two most famous male caped crusaders in the Superman Vs. Batman movie and the actress to play her has just been cast. It's - Gal Gadot. And tumbleweed silently blows across the desert of our minds.
The Israeli actress is actually not a complete unknown. She had a 'starring role' in Fast & Furious 6 (is that how everyone starts their careers these days? We'll ask Rita Ora next time we chat.) She can also be seen in Knight And Day and Date Night.
She's not just a pretty face though, she is also a former Miss Israel and model. Oh wait maybe she is then. We're sure she has a really nice personality.
On the casting decision, director Zack Snyder had this to say, 'Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favourite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.'
We're not going to be mean and write her off as simple eye-candy (especially since we haven't actually seen/didn't notice her in the flicks she's appeared in) until we see her in action, and in fairness, she really does look the part.
