Leonardo DiCaprio's latest film, The Wolf of Wall Street, is in a spot of bother. According to THR and Hitfix, the film's length is the issue and reports are suggesting that the Martin Scorsese-directed biopic is somewhere close to three hours long. Paramount haven't said officially whether or not Wolf of Wall Street will hit its US release date of November 15th, but it seems like more likely with each passing day.
This will mean that Wolf of Wall Street will be out of the Oscars' race as all other contenders - namely 12 Years A Slave, Gravity, August Osage County - have all been screened at festivals around the world and are generating buzz. There doesn't appear to be any issue from Scorsese as he's keen to edit the film down to an acceptable length and Paramount are, likewise, keen to have a film that'll do the business at the box office.
The film is based on real-life stockbroker Jordan Belfort's meteoric rise to the top of Wall Street and his hedonistic lifestyle. Leonardo DiCaprio plays Belfort with a supporting cast of Jonah Hill and Matthew McConaughey. Check out the thumping trailer below with Kanye West's 'Black Skinhead' blaring over it.
