Looks like Dory has another addition to her search and rescue team. Willem Dafoe has confirmed that he will reprise his role as Gill, the Moorish Idol fish, in the sequel to Pixar's smash Finding Nemo.
Speaking exclusively to Total Film, the actor revealed that he has already started work on Finding Dory. "It's even better than the first," he said. "It's fantastic. It's good to say I think it’s going to be better than the first; that’s good advertising!"
Dafoe is of course no stranger to advertising. He voices the delightfully creepy Bird's Eye polar bear in the frozen food giant's radio and television campaigns. Fun fact for a Monday, that.
He clearly enjoys the process. Without revealing any juicy plot details, Dafoe says that "it's really cool. I've done one session so far and I just am going to have such a good time."
We hope we have as good a time watching as you have making it. Will the sequel live up to our expectations? The Oscar-nominated actor is not the only Nemo star returning for Finding Dory. Ellen DeGeneres is, of course, the lost fish in question and she will be joined by Nemo's pops Marlin, voiced by Albert Brooks. New names attached are Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy who will play Dory's parents and Modern Family's Ty Burrell who will portray Beluga whale, Bailey.
