30 Rock comic villain and Arrested Development star Will Arnett has officially been cast in the upcoming blockbuster Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set to come out in the summer of 2014. Having starred in the animated series in the '80s as a untrustworthy reporter with overarching ambition, he's no stranger to the franchise. Here's to hoping someone on set crank's out a bit of Beyonce's 'Deja Vu' to bring those memories to the surface for Arnett wha?
This time around Arnett will play April O'Neill's (Megan Fox) cameraman Vernon Fenwick. Sounds like a massive leap from reporter to cameraman to us, phew. He may have to go all method on this one.
The Michael Bay-produced film also boasts Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo and Danny Woodburn as Splinter. Jonathan Liebesman, the man behind Wrath of Titans and Rings, will direct. If you were born in the '80s this film will either make or break your childhood memories. The inclusion of Megan ' I can't see my lines when bending over this car engine' Fox has us worried but can Arnett save our animated memories and hopes from being dashed?
