Walt Becker has signed on to direct the family orientated comedy, Little Big War - that sounds like a complete rip-off of the underrated Small Soldiers. The plot, according to The Hollywood Reporter, will revolve around a family that must band together to fight action figures that come to life and go on the attack. Becker directed the guilty pleasure that is Van Wilder; but most of the enjoyment from that film camefrom Ryan Reynolds’ charismatic turn, not the knob and weed jokes. He also directed the horrific Wild Hogs, which was one of the worst films of last year, but still managed to bag serious coin. Producers are bouncing around comparisons with Night at the Museum in terms of approach, which does not bode well for this.
