We may have been watching her play a very different kind of detective in The Fall of late, but it wasn't so long ago that Gillian Anderson was teasing us about her possible return to the role that made her a household name, and now herself and David Duchovny have been telling fans at Comic Con what the story is with that X Files movie.
NBC's Today reports that the pair joined creator Chris Carter on a special X Files panel in San Diego, and he hinted heavily at the posibility of doing another film. Decribing the deovtion of the show's Comic Con fans as "very inpirational", Carter got pretty cryptic about the franchise's future.
"You need a reason to get excited about going on and doing it again, because it's hard, hard work. But this is very interesting," he said, while Duchovny and Anderson revealed that they'd be more than happy to team up again.
"We could do it forever. I always thought when we can come back together, we will. As much as we can." Duchovny stated. "This is how we're going to get the movie made, by the way," he laughed. "This is our Kickstarter" Anderson added with a smile.
We have a feeling that it wouldn't be too difficult for them to raise the cash now, in fairness...
