You may already be aware of the news that everyone's favourite video game rodent, Sonic the Hedgehog, is getting his own live-action/animation hybrid movie.
With Paramount announcing details of the film, which is scheduled for release in November 2019 under the helm of first-time director Jeff Fowler, people have been scratching their heads and wondering just who on earth they could possibly cast for such an unusual film - and how it would all work.
Well, at least one of those questions has been answered, as it has been announced that 'Westworld' star James Marsden has signed on to the film, although it's not yet clear which role he'll play. Marsden plays Teddy in the HBO series and also recently appeared in Rob Reiner's 'Shock and Awe'.
This is the first time that Sonic - which follows the adventures of a speedy hedgehog on a quest to defeat evil scientist Doctor Robotnik - has been adapted for the big screen, and it's certainly going to be... different. It can't be any worse than 1993's Super Mario Bros., anyway.
