With the NFL's new season kicking off in just over a week, there's no better time to bring up the topic of head trauma.

The sport has seen an unprecedented amount of players retiring from head injuries recently, most notably San Francisco's star rookie, Chris Borland, who quit the game at just 24, citing fears over head trauma as his main reason to leave the sport.

While we've seen some documentaries about the effects of concussion, such as Head Games, we've yet to see a mainstream film tackle to problem, but we will come December, when Will Smith's 'Concussion' hits cinema screens.

The film is based on the true story of Dr. Bennet Omalu, the forensic neuropathologist who first discovered of CTE, a football-related brain trauma, in a pro player, and his struggle with the NFL to publicise the condition. Written and directed by Peter Landesman, and boasting a cast which includes Alec Baldwin and Albert Brooks, the trailer has the football fans in the office all kinds of excited.
