It's almost been eighteen years since Warren Beatty last directed a film and now here is writing, directing and starring in a Howard Hughes biopic.
The story, which Beatty has been working on for years actually focuses on a love story between aspiring starlet Marla Maybrey (Lily Collins) and her handsome driver Frank Forbes (new Han Solo, Alden Ehrenreich). She's under contract to Hughes' studio and he's the man that drives her around all the while trying to skate around the golden rule that studio employees can't have relationships with contract girls.
It's a little bit odd seeing Beatty play Hughes at the same point in the billionaire (not a millionaire)'s life that Leonardo DiCaprio did in Martin Scorsese's The Aviator but it still looks like it could be a fun movie.
With Alec Baldwin, Anette Benning, Matthew Broderick, Steve Coogan, Ed Harris, Oliver Platt and Martin Sheen all in the supporting cast this one looks like it could be gem for any fans of a good screwball comedy.
