The official trailer for 'Bloodshot' is now live. It sees Vin Diesel take on a 'Terminator' slash 'Wolverine' slash 'Total Recall'-inspired role.
Based on the best-selling comic book - as so many movies are these days - Vin plays Ray Garrison aka Bloodshot. Guy Pearce, it would seem, plays the antagonist.
Eiza González, Sam Heughan, Toby Kebbell co-star.
The plot synopsis reads:
“After he and his wife are murdered, Marine Ray Garrison is resurrected by a secret team of scientists. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine – 'Bloodshot.' As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former life. But when his memories flood back and he remembers the man that killed both he and his beautiful wife, he breaks out of the facility hellbent on revenge, only to discover that there’s more to the conspiracy than he thought.”
Dave Wilson, whose past work has been in VFX and video games, makes his directorial debut.
Diesel has plenty more in the pipeline after the upcoming action film. Over the next couple of years you'll see him in two more 'Fast & Furious' films, a Riddick movie, 'xxx 4' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3'.
'Bloodshot' hits cinemas on February 21, 2020.
