A movie version of cult animated show Jem and the Holograms has been in the works for a while now, and the first trailer has landed, giving us a look at what we can expect.
The concept of the movie takes a look at a young Jerrica and her sister Kimber who are living a boring life in their aunt's house, until a video of Jerrica singing goes viral and they set off on a "one-in-a-million journey of discovering that some talents are too special to keep hidden".
The reaction to the movie from the devoted fan base has so far been pretty negative, with many of the comments under the video on YouTube stating that they can see nothing that made the original show great in this version.

Even William Shatner himself was not happy with what he was seeing.
I watched the Jem trailer. No star earrings? Where are the misfits? 😢
