If you saw the first poster for Charlie Sheen's 9/11 movie and assumed it was a joke or a tasteless Funny or Die parody on melodramas that depict true events you could hardly be blamed.
Charlie Sheen's a known '9/11 truther' and as recently as 2009 called for Barack Obama to reopen the investigation into the events. So why the hell is he starring in a movie about people stuck in an elevator during the attack? We'll just have to assume he badly needs the money.
Sheen's casting aside, the exploitative and melodramatic nature of the trailer has seen many take to Twitter to label it as offensive.
