The things we do for children.
Peter Rabbit, based on the beloved books by Beatrix Potter, is hitting the big screen, voiced by James Corden. In spite of a great cast – which includes the likes of Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki and Daisy Ridley – the trailer looks pretty terrible. Mind you, the kids will be amused and kept quiet for its 90 min or whatever running time so it’ll serve its purpose.
The synopsis reads: “Peter Rabbit, the mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers, now takes on the starring role of his own irreverent, contemporary comedy with attitude. In the film, Peter’s feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne).”
Maybe the always lovely Domhnall Gleeson will help us maintain our sanity.
