Taika Waititi is having a very good week.
First it was announced at San Diego Comic Con that following the success of 'Thor Ragnarok', Taika is indeed coming back to direct another Thor film called 'Thor: Love and Thunder'.
Now the trailer for his next film 'Jojo Rabbit' has arrived. And it comes just after the announcement that it's bound for the Toronto International Film Festival line-up.
The synopsis describes the upcoming film as "a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy (Roman Griffin Davis). The boy's world view is turned upside down when he discovers that his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his naïve patriotism."
Taika Waititi previously directed such fan favourites as 'What We Do in the Shadows' and 'Hunt for the Wilderpeople.'
His latest also stars Rebel Wilson, Stephen Merchant, Alfie Allen, and Sam Rockwell.
'Jojo Rabbit' is based on the book 'Caging Skies by Christine Leunens.
It opens in theatres on October 18, 2019, after premiering at TIFF in September.
