At some point, we're all going to have look back on films like Sharknado, Snakes On A Plane and The Hurricane Heist and explain to our children and descendants why we allowed these things to happen.
Was it because we were so caught up in our own lives, or the crumbling world economy, or the worsening political landscape that the likes of The Hurricane Heist came into being? Is this film, in fact, symptomatic of the malaise that plagues popular culture nowadays? That it's become so disaffected with convention and logic that it's just hurling two completely opposite concepts together in the hope that it'll work?
Who knows. The real question is why Toby Kebbell, who's a great actor and was brilliant in the likes of War For The Planet Of The Apes and A Monster Calls, is doing this. Money? Probably.
The log-line for this is Make It Rain and the trailer uses The Scorpions' Rock You Like A Hurricane. Watch the trailer and know that irony is dead and this killed it.
The film is set for an Irish release date of April 6th and you better believe we're going to review it.
