Summer Blockbuster season is drawing to a close, and already Hollywood is gearing up for awards season.
Call Me By Your Name debuted at this year's Sundance Film Festival and was immediately tipped as an Oscar contender. Based on a 2007 novel by Andre Aciman, it tells the story of a young man Elio living with his academic parents in the Lombardy region of Italy during the 80s. His world is changed when an American student, Oliver, comes to stay with his family and work as a research assistant for Elio's father.
Oliver will be played by Arnie Hammer, while Elio is played by newcomer Timothee Chalemet. It's directed by Luca Guadagnino and will be released in Ireland later this year.
