Paul Thomas Anderson is one of those filmmakers that drives anticipation. Widely lauded, he's been on a winning streak arguably since his first film and his seventh, Inherent Vice, looks like his funniest - if the slapstick trailer is anything to go by.
Based on the novel by Thomas Pynchon, it's based around the kooky trials and tribulations of a private investigator in the 70s. The cast is hugely impressive, with Joaquin Phoenix the PI, and Josh Brolin, Owen Wilson, Katherine Waterston, Reese Witherspoon, Benicio Del Toro, Martin Short and Jena Malone joining him
The film is released here on these shores come January 30th.
