Several months after dropping an appetite whetting teaser for Steve Spielberg's adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic, we finally get a full length trailer.
Spielberg made his career delivering magical moments on the big screen and it looks like he's set to add a couple of more here. As was the case with the teaser, the trailer starts with footage of lonely orphan Sophie (Ruby Barnhill) reading late at a night before she's suddenly snatched away by the Big Friendly Giant, brought to life via performance capture by Mark Rylance.
Sophie discovers a magical new world of friendship in Giant Country but also has to contend with the other, much larger giants that live there and are quite keen on 'human beans' for dinner time.
The BFG should arrive in Irish cinemas on July 22nd.
