It's strange to think that there were people other than Vin Diesel that thought a XXX sequel starring his original character, Xander Cage was needed. And yet, here we are with the second trailer for XXX: The Return of Xander Cage which is due out in January.
The film sees Diesel return as the extreme sports junkie and sometimes government operative, Cage. After a period out of the spotlight, Cage is pulled back into the action by Samuel L. Jackson and Toni Collete's agents in a bid to stop villain Donnie Yen and his team skilled fighters who have somehow gotten their hands on 'the device that controls every military satellite in the world'.
Cage agrees to use his particular set of skills for the mission. Of course he refuses to do it with some government stooges watching his back. He recruits his own team, comprised of 'the good, the extreme and the completely insane.'
Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose and Game of Thrones' Rory McCann play Cage's aforementioned team members.
XXX: The Return of Xander Cage will be in cinemas in January.
