Robert Downey Jr. is possibly the most bankable star on the planet right now. He's more fun than Di Caprio and not afraid to take risks like Will Smith. His latest, The Judge, looks like a departure for him, even if he does seem his usual quippy self at first.
Playing a somewhat unscrupulous lawyer who returns to his home town when his Mother dies, he finds himself having to defend his estranged father (a cantankerous Robert Duvall) of murder.
It's got a cracking supporting cast too, with Billy Bob Thorton, Vera Farmiga, Dax Shepard and Vincent D'Onofrio all rounding out the cast, while directing duties fall to Wedding Crashers helmer, David Dobkin.
We can expect to see this one around October.
