If you're of a certain vintage, you might recall that there was an arcade game of the same name that saw you guide giant monsters through cities whilst battling non-descript military forces and, at times, other monsters.
It was silly, loud and exactly the kind of thing that Hulk Hogan would have made a film out of back in the day. Well, it's 2018 and now we've got Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, so it's kind of the same thing and has all the requisite loudness and explosions you'd expect. To be fair, there's not a whole lot you can do with a film like this - it's literally giant animals knocking the crap out of each other and then actors react to said giant animals knocking the crap out of each other.
