Having teased us for a week on social media, Warner Bros. finally revealed their new trailer for 'Kong: Skull Island' via Jimmy Kimmel last night and the result is pleasantly surprising.
Starring Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, Samuel L. Jackson and John C. Reilly amongst many others, the new take on King Kong takes us to the giant ape's birthplace and "when a scientific expedition to an uncharted island awakens titanic forces of nature, a mission of discovery becomes an explosive war between monster and man."
Instead of your straight-up monster mash, 'Kong: Skull Island' looks like it'll be having more fun with the concept thanks to the injection of John C. Reilly as a former solider gone native on the island who acts as our tutor in all things big and beastly.
There are also plenty of napalm in the morning vibes too before you get fooled into thinking this is a comedy. Far from it.
Hiddleston appeared on Kimmel in a gorilla suit to debut the trailer, and following that he and Larson debuted two new posters on Twitter.
