Martha Stewart who?
Melissa McCarthy is a Liza Minneli-Debbie Reynolds look-alike in this Martha Stewart-esque tale of parental redemption and women kicking ass, which also stars Frozen/Veronica Mars' Kristen Bell, Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage and the one and only Kathy Bates.
McCarthy is the titular boss, "a titan of industry who is sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading" and comes out of the clink "ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart but not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget."
Written and produced by McCarthy and Ben Falcone, who takes the reins as director, the film looks like another star turn for McCarthy in a slapstick role. It has a Girl Scout street brawl á la Anchorman over Girls Scout's Cookies. We're sold.
'The Boss' hits Irish cinemas on June 10th, 2016.
