Is this the film that will finally nab Leo an Oscar?
Inspired by real events, DiCaprio stars as legendary explorer Hugh Glass who is on an expedition of the uncharted American wilderness when he's brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team and is forced to try and survive the elements in a vicious winter in the middle of nowhere.
With Alejandro González Iñárritu's recent Academy Award win and his epic beard, it's looking like The Revenant could finally be the movie that gets Leo onto that podium with a statue in hand. If we were you, we'd put the money on it now.
Also starring our very own Star Wars villain Domhnall Gleeson and We're The Millers and Glassland's Will Poulter, The Revenant is expected in Irish cinemas on January 15th 2016.
