While you were busy topping up your tan lines with the last of that summer sun over the weekend, we were glued to our computer screens, trying to keep up with all that Comic Con action. We were rewarded with the very latest trailer for Hunger Games follow up Catching Fire.
The film is based on the second book in Suzanne Collins' hugely popular trilogy, and sees Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) called back into action as the Districts slowly begin to rebel against the Capitol. They see Katniss as their symbol of hope, and President Snow ain't too happy about that, so he drafts in new Head Gamemaker Plutarch Havensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman) to see that the girl on fire is well and truly put out.
There's a wealth of new footage on offer in the trailer, including some pretty awesome footage of that flaming gown, a bit of teenage romance driven angst for the romantics among you. and Sam Claflin's Finnick Odair in his infamous victory parade ensemble. If you've read the books, you'll know what I'm talking about. Sugarcube anyone?
We're big fans here in the office, and I personally cannot wait to see Hoffman and Jeffrey Wright (who joins the cast as Beetee, a former victor from District 3) in action. Catching Fire hits Irish cinemas on November 22nd 2014.
