It's become one of the most famous scenes in movie history, and now thanks to one Redditor, a clip has resurfaced of actor Jack Nicholson preparing for that unforgettable moment in The Shining when he put an axe through a door and uttered those iconic words.... "Here's Johnny!"

Funnily enough, that line was actually improvised by Nicholson, who took it from the intro to The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, and director Stanley Kubrick almost didn't include it.

The video shows Nicholson pumping himself up for the scene and even practicing throwing the axe - an axe which apparently Simon Cowell helped shine back in the early days of his career. According to his half-bro Tony Cowell anyways.
