DC spoiled fans in the US last night during their "Dawn of the Justice League" TV event, not only dumping the full trailer for 'Suicide Squad' on the world but also giving Wonder Woman fans a glimpse of what her standalone movie is going to look like when it comes out in 2017.
We'll be getting our first glimpse of Gal Gadot's take on Diana Prince on the big screen in this year's 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice', but as for her own film, that'll be taking us back to Wonder Woman's roots in which, according to Gadot, "We're gonna see her coming of age, the entire history, what's her mission."
The film also stars Chris Pine and is set during World War I, which is why Gadot on horseback and using a sword makes some sort of sense (we can't really see that type of thing standing up to modern forms of war really) and also means things will be quite dark and moody and not so stars and stripes-y as Lynda Carter's take on Wonder Woman. But that could all change, you never know.
Wonder Woman is currently slated for release on June 23, 2017.
