The ‘going back to college/school’ movie genre is about to get another member with Melissa McCarthy’s Life of the Party.
In the movie McCarthy’s husband unexpectedly leaves her, and after she sets fire to anything that reminds her of married life, she decides to join her daughter (Molly Gordon) in college stating- “I don’t regret staying home and being your mom, but I regret not getting my degree.”

Life of the Party also stars Maya Rudolph, Julie Bowen, Gillian Jacobs and Chris Parnell. It has a US release date of May 11th. We'll let you know about an Irish release date when we get it.
