It's arguably had one of the most tumultuous pre-productions in recent history, but the long-awaited Tupac Shakur biopic is finally making its way to the screen.

The story of Tupac Shakur's life and times has been ripe for the cinematic treatment, and directors such as John Singleton (who actually directed Tupac in Poetic Justice), Antoine Fuqua and Carl Franklin come and go from the project. On top of that, there was an extended legal battle between Morgan Creek Productions and Afeni Shakur.

In spite of all this, it looks like it's finally a reality as the first teaser debuted online last night on Instagram. Newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr. will be playing Tupac Shakur whilst the recently-deceased Afeni Shakur will be played by The Walking Dead's Danai Gurira. Meanwhile, Person Of Interest's Annie Ilonzeh will play Kidada Jones, Tupac's fiance at the time of his death.

In the director's chair is veteran music director Benny Boom, who made basically every hip-hop video you've ever seen. Really. A quick look over his Wiki page includes artists such as Nelly, Ja Rule, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes and countless others. All Eyez On Me, however, will be his first feature film.

Right, that's enough filler - here's the trailer.
