It got standing ovations at Cannes and now with just over a month to go until it hits cinema screens we have our first full trailer for the Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz starring 'The Lobster' thanks to The Guardian.
The critical reception for Dogtooth director Yorgos Lanthimos' film was excellent, with both the director and Farrell being praised for bringing life to the strange dystopian world in which people are sent to a hotel where, if they fail to find a partner within 45 days, they're turned into an animal of their choosing.
Also starring Ben Whishaw, John C. Reilly, Olivia Colman, Lea Seydoux, Ariana Labed, Aggeliki Papoulia, Jessica Barden, Ashley Jensen and Michael Smiley, the film has been called 'dark', 'deeply funny', 'bizarre' and 'hilarious', which all rings true from what you will see in the trailer.
'The Lobster' is set for release in Irish cinemas on October 16th.
