As covered in our piece on Sundance Film Festival, Eighth Grade is definitely one of those films you're going to be hearing more and more about in the coming months.
Written and directed by comedian Bo Burnham and starring newcomer Elsie Fisher, it follows a precocious but shy teenager who's going through her final week in the eighth grade and dealing with going from a child into a teenager and all the tortures that ensue from it. While you might think this is well-trodden ground, the film's been getting rave reviews by those who saw it at Sundance and could even be in contention come Oscar time in 2019.
The film arrives in the US on July 13th and will likely get a release over in short order.
Take a look.
